Bill Bennett

William Lauriston Bennett (cum laude) - Harvard Business School ’76mcl, of Dedham, MA, died January 23, 2006, in Dedham, Massachusetts. He was born November 27, 1949, in Morristown, New Jersey, the son of the late William and Patricia Bennett. A resident of Eliot House while at Harvard, Mr. Bennett received an A.B., cum laude, with our Class in 1971 and an M.B.A., magna cum laude, in 1976 from the Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He married Constance Leeds Bennett on June 22, 1974. Professionally, Mr. Bennett was a hiring partner at the Monitor Group and former chairman of the board at the Noel Group and of Healthplan Services. He held many memberships and board positions, including overseer of the Huntington Theatre Company and member of Old Memorial, the Links, and Shelter Harbor. An avid golf and hockey player, he played defenseman for the Harvard Legends hockey team. He was survived by his wife; his three sons, Lauriston, Corey, and William; and his brothers, James (M.B.A. '81) and Robert (M.B.A. '86).
