Rawdy Parry

Rawdon Moira Crozier Parry died of congestive heart failure on March 22, 2011, in Boston, Massachusetts. Son of Richard Parry '38, he was born on April 16, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, and prepared at St. Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts, before attending Harvard. A resident of Winthrop House and a member of the Hasty Pudding, he received an AB with our class. Mr. Parry went on to receive an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and then worked at Oil Daily, Inc., a New York publication. Mr. Parry's career then shifted into the field of advertising, when he became account supervisor at Thatam-Laird & Kudner, an advertising agency in Chicago. At Thatam-Laird & Kudner, he ultimately became an account director and partner, and, at the time of the Twentieth Report, he served as group account director there. Mr. Parry went on to work as a managing director for Paladin; as senior vice president and director of client development for Rapp Collins Worldwide; and as vice-president business development for Jacobs & Clevenger. Mr. Parry retired from EPS Communications in Boston in 2010. He had an avid interest in history and genealogy. Mr. Parry was survived by his four children, Thomas, Richard, William, and Nora Parry; and two sisters, Valerie Gardner and Perdita Buchan Connolly '62. He leaves two former wives, Deborah Wheeler and Leslie Pritchard; his first wife, Emily (Foley), predeceased him.
