Robert Perkins passed away on July 21, 2025, at his home in Utah. Rob was born in Boston in 1949. He graduated from Milton Academy and Harvard College and earned his master's degree in English from Bennington College in 2004. Rob was a wilderness explorer and artist. He was well-known for his storytelling through books, film, and the spoken word. He leaves behind his four siblings and four nephews.

Rob started with our class, then withdrew for mental health reasons, eventually returning and graduating with the class of ’74 (??). He was an outdoorsman who took numerous solo canoe trips in the Arctic and elsewhere, a documentary filmmaker, and the author of two books. In his last years he ran an artists’ retreat in Utah.
